Continuing such a journey would require Sadie to seek new help and operate outside the law once more in the foreign country, making her yet another incredible character faced with moral quandaries, and could bring her in contact with one of Red Dead Redemption 's best characters , Landon Ricketts. The wily old gunslinger played a major role in John's expedition through Mexico, and he could play a similar role for Sadie, providing both fan service for players and sage advice for Mrs. Adler. Ricketts' message for John about jumping from one side of the fence to another would be just as relevant for Sadie, and could foreshadow her eventual decision as it did John's downf

The conflicts are certainly different for Anakin and Dutch, the outcomes even more so, but the nature of their stories is still very similar. They are both characters who bring about the very things they are trying to avoid in their quest for the life they want. Blinded by selfishness and greed, they each make mistake after mistake not realizing they are creating their own downfall, from rushing into situations without proper planning to trusting people they know they shouldn't. A hero's demise and the rise of a villain are timeless tales in every form of literature, and Red Dead Redemption _ and Red Dead Redemption 2 _ already set in motion that narrative for Dutch. This, paired with the fact that moving forward in time with RDR3 presents massive struggles, makes continuing the prequel trajectory an ideal fit. Doing so gives fans the opportunity to see a young Dutch van der Linde in a similar way that Star Wars fans saw the boy who would one day become Darth Va

Arthur Morgan is a misanthrope at heart. He just really hates people. It's possible to antagonize random people on the street, and sometimes Arthur will ask them, "You want trouble?" This will either result in the person pleading with Arthur to stop or chastising him and fighting b

John Marston is a beloved character, and this game sidelined him to supporting status in favor of newcomer Arthur Morgan. Luckily, Arthur proved a sympathetic and endlessly enjoyable protagonist, and the game was immediately deemed a worthy succes

The first Red Dead Redemption contained some snowy and mountainous areas, but nothing to the extent of Grizzlies West. Grizzlies West is a spectacular location, complete with the stellar sight of snowy mountains , bounding rabbits, and black birds soaring against a piercing blue

Sometimes it's hard to forget just how villainous the Van Der Linde gang truly is. The gang is a relic of a bygone era - an era of cowboys and lawlessness. Now, "civilization" is encroaching, and the cowboys have nowhere else to

The end of RDR2 gives the perfect starting point for the third installment, as Sadie Adler's fate is left uncertain in the year 1907. Red Dead Redemption doesn't pick up until 1911, so RDR3 would have a few years with Sadie in the states before progressing south. During that time, players could follow along on Sadie's mission, and her narrative could also explain some of the unknown elements in the frontier's history, such as the destruction of crops in New Austin, Ignacio Sanchez's revolution in Mexico, or the mysterious Mr. Braithwaite mentioned in Undead Nightmare . All of which would further realize Red Dead Redemption's western front

No matter the game rating, children are off limits. Rockstar realizes this and continuously omits children from their open world games. Young Jack proves the exception, although he does little throughout the g

Once again, this quote sums up the basic theme of the entire game. Arthur displays some self-reflection in the above quote, acknowledging the facts that a) the gang is composed of thieves and bad guys, b) that this makes them social outlaws in an increasingly modernized and civilized world, and c) that they have no place in modern soci

She would have to choose between capturing her bounty target who she has pursued so vigorously or finally escaping to South America, both of which would be closer than ever before. Whether Rockstar allows players to make the final choice or takes the reigns to finish the narrative, _[https://regiprocess.com/ Red Dead Redemption 2 missions] Dead Redemption 3 _ would already have told a story worthy of the franchise. Similar to the uncertain future that awaited Jack Marston at the end of the original, Sadie's tragic journey is already a frontier tale regardless of how it e

Arthur is nothing if not self-aware. During the "bad" ending (the ending received if a player has low honor), Micah will damn Arthur before executing him. While the GTA franchise is certainly Rockstar's crown jewel, the studio's most impressive narrative is arguably the story told throughout Red Dead Redemption _ and Red Dead Redemption 2 _ . Choosing to move back in time with RDR2 made a lot of sense given how the original game ended. Making a direct sequel would have been tricky at the least, but beyond that, Rockstar's decision to move back in time actually changes the overall direction of the entire franchise and possibly for RDR3 as w
